By the age of 12, Jose Raymond was already working out regularly. Though he was only 5′ 4″, Raymond had become a very muscular 150 pounds by the time he reached 13 and benching 315 pounds just two years later.
When he was 18, his brother Tito convinced him to compete with him in the New England Bodybuilding Championships. Raymond won the teenage division in front of what seemed like a few thousand people and has been hooked ever since.
He went on to win Musclemania World in 2001 and has qualified for IFBB pro status, winning the Nationals twice and the Team Universe Overall. Raymond finally accepted his pro card and competed in his first IFBB show in May 2009.
