Braden Smith is one strong kid. An offensive guard from Olathe South High School in Olathe, Kansas, the 6’6″ 290-pounder is on the radar of all the big college teams. Not only is he a force to be reckoned with on the field (check out his highlight reel below), but he also possesses incredible strength, as this recent gym session shows.

The clip, reportedly shot by his head coach Jeff Gourley, shows Smith banging out three reps of 515 pounds on the bench press. That is pretty awesome stuff, and whoever bags this prospect’s John Hancock on National Signing Day come February 5 will have a serious weapon on their hands. While 515 pounds is impressive, another high school kid surpassed this by some margin last year. As we featured on Muscle & Fitness last March, Matt Poursoltani bench pressed a whopping 700 pounds.
