Assisted Calf Stretch

The assisted calf stretch improves flexibility in the calf muscle. Use of a towel or band for the exercise assists with creating a deeper stretch.

    Sit on the floor with your legs extended in front of you. Loop a resistance band or towel around one foot.
  2. Assisted Calf Stretch
    Keeping your back straight, pull the band toward you until you feel the stretch in your calf. Hold for up to 30 seconds.

Trainer’s Tips

  • Avoid pulling too strongly. Ease into every stretch.
  • Be sure not to bend the knee. Keep it straight to maintain the stretch.
  • Maintain a flat back throughout the stretch.
