One-Arm Dumbbell Lateral Raise

    Hold a dumbbell in one hand and keep your feet somewhat close together.

    Keep your torso upright, brace your core, and then lift one arm up and out until the bottom of your upper arm is parallel to the floor. To add more tension to the muscle, rotate your pinky up until your entire deltoid contracts. Slowly lower the weight to a count of 3 to increase the total time under tension. Alternate arms.
