Flowers: This the pure form of weed, like the dime bag you (possibly) smoked in high school—except with far more buds and no seeds or stems. Flowers can be smoked or vaporized.

Edibles: In states where weed is legal, edibles come in dozens of forms and can often be healthier than smoking—though be careful, because they can also come on very strong after a couple of hours, and are often sold in the form of sugary snacks that are loaded with empty calories.

Concentrates: These include marijuana oil, which is often sold in cartridges and smoked with a special device, as well as super-strong products sometimes made from hash. Not for beginners or the faint of heart, and there's some concern that the extraction process leaves these products far less pure.

Topicals: Rubs and creams that can be applied to the skin to soothe aching muscles without getting you high.
