Read articleIt's official – The Dutch Beast Roelly Winklaar will be competing in the 2013 Wings of Strength Chicago Pro. Winklaar is a Weider/AMI athlete and will be competing head to head with his Weider/AMI peer Lionel Beyeke. The two huge mass monsters will be vying for a coveted 2013 Mr Olympia qualification.
Egberton Rulove “Roelly” Etienne-Winklaar first rose to prominence in the US by earning his pro status via an overall win at the 2009 NPC Arnold Amateur Championships.

After going on to place third at the 2010 IFBB Australia Pro Grand Prix, Roelly rocked the bodybuilding world by winning the 2010 IFBB New York Pro in his rookie IFBB pro season. He took the show mostly on the strength of what many consider to be some of the best arms in the sport — past or present. He was then a runner-up at the 2011 Mr. Europe Pro and Grand Prix England contests.
A debilitating jaw infection meant a rough start to Roelly Winklaar's 2012 season, during which he competed a total of eight times. Roelly took first at the 2012 Nordic Pro Championships to qualify for the 2012 Mr Olympia, where Winklaar took a disappointing 12th place. However, what Winklaar managed to prove is that his strength and stamina are back, and it's now just a matter of time until his diet gets back in the groove.
Winklaar's been off-season for four months now. He's been training hard and fulfilling his sponsor obligations to BSN by working at the Arnold Classic and guest posing at the 2013 Emerald Cup. If Winklaar's recent appearance is any indication of what we'll see on stage in July, Roelly will be a dominant force come the 2013 Wings of Strength Chicago Pro. I can't wait to see it in person!
