Over the 45-year span since the first Mr. Olympia competition, held at New York’s Brooklyn Academy of Music in 1965, the bodybuilding community has sung the praises of its 12 O winners over and again. Scott, Oliva, Schwarzenegger, Columbu, Zane, Dickerson, Bannout, Haney, Yates, Coleman, Cutler and Jackson are (bodybuilding) household names.

Yet to a good many bodybuilding fans there exists a select group of men that deserves similar plaudits. The only problem is that unlike their aforementioned brethren they were never awarded a Sandow trophy, despite arguably having displayed the goods required to earn one.

Below we’ve compiled a list of contenders who some believe should have gotten the nod over men who did grab the brass ring. Let us know which man can make the most legitimate claim to being the Uncrowned Mr. Olympia by voting, and then make your case over in the FLEX Forums. Should Oliva have been a 5x winner?
