The ideal carb back-loading scenario entails waking up at around 7 a.m., skipping breakfasteating protein– and fat-rich foods lightly until the afternoon, training, and then pigging out on carbs. Unfortunately, the obligations of real life mean that this kind of schedule is, at best, a pipe dream. There has to be another way—and there is. Kiefer explains how to back-load when your day begins at night.
