There’s a new condom in town—and while it’s not for you, you’ll benefit from it immensely (though perhaps not as much as your girlfriend).
Michigan-base condom company IXu LLC, has developed a female condom, appropriately named VA w.o.w., that covers all the prerequisites—it prevents against unwanted pregnancies and STIs—but get this: it can make a woman orgasm nearly every time, the Daily Mail reports.
Blow your mind yet? The condom nearly guarantees it’ll blow hers—just take a look at these stats. IXu LLC conducted a survey for which they gave VA w.o.w. condoms to 50 couples and found that 70 percent of women experienced an orgasm their very first time. By the second go-around, the percentage of women who climaxed rose to 84 percent. And by the fourth? One hundred percent of women had an orgasm.
The condom has a heart- or star-shaped vibrating sleeve, which also keeps it from slipping too far into hard-to-reach places. The creators also boast it can be inserted into the vagina up to eight hours before sex. Not sure what circumstances would warrant such boy-scout-like preparation, but hey, you never know.
Currently, IXu LLC is waiting for approval from the Food and Drug Administration and looking for manufacturers to bring their vibrating condom to global markets. Luckily the name is easy to remember, and we have a feeling that once you try ‘em out, they’ll be hard to forget.
