Thierry Henry has won nearly everything in a storied career. Along the way he became a legend at Arsenal and played with the great Barcelona team led by head coach Pep Guardiola.

Now, he plays his trade for the New York Red Bulls in the MLS. While his blistering pace may be no more, the veteran showed that his mind in as sharp as ever on September 15 against the Columbus Crew.  The former Arsenal legend noticed that substitute Crew keeper Matt Lampson was not set up properly for a corner kick, and he made a calculated decision to go for goal.

“I saw (he) was off his line and was out of the goal too much, so I decided to give it a try,”  Henry told the AP. The gamble paid off.

Thierry Henry has won nearly everything in a storied career, but he has not guided the Bulls to the MLS Cup.  It took Beckham five years to do it with the Galaxy, but he led them to the promised land last year. Henry needs to do the same before he can be regarded as a true MLS legend.
