Read articleUFC Bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey (10-0, 4-0 UFC) puts her title on the line at UFC 184 tomorrow night when she takes on Cat Zingano (9-0, 2-0 UFC) at Staples Center in Los Angeles. Rousey, 28, is under no illusion as to the difficult task at hand against the 32-year-old Zingano, who is rated the number one-ranked contender.
“She is undefeated. She has an extensive wrestling background. She is known as a striker but she also has a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt. She’s been down in fights before but every single time that she has ever been down she has come back and won,” Rousey told Fox Sports earlier this month. “That is the kind of competitor I really have to be most concerned with, because she is not the type that will be intimidated. Cat is someone who has to be finished to the very end. She is the toughest chick I’ve ever come across, and the most well rounded opponent I’ve ever had. I do believe she will bring out the best in me, and I will be able to showcase all my skills before I beat her.”
You can sense the intensity from this photo of the pair earlier this week:
