Kettlebell Situp

The kettlebell situp is a core-strengthening exercise that improves the body’s ability to stabilize the spine while strengthening the hip flexor and lower lumber regions.


  1. 741_A
    Lie flat on your back with your knees bent to 90°, feet on the floor. Hold a kettlebell with both hands on top of your chest.
  2. Kettlebell Situp
    Keeping the kettlebell against your chest, tighten your core and use your abs to crunch up, raising your torso off the ground. Pause at the top before returning to the starting position.

Trainer’s Tips

  • Do not tuck your chin too much.
  • Lower yourself slowly and with control.
  • Hold the kettlebell tightly, and don't let the weight rest on your body.
