This exercise increases strength and muscle growth in the triceps. Positioning yourself on the floor allows for increased stability throughout the movement.
Lie face-up on the ground with knees bent and feet firmly planted. Reach back behind your head and grab the bar with an overhand narrow grip. Raise the bar up, fully extending your arms and positioning the bar directly above your chest.
Keeping the upper arms in the same position, lower the bar behind your head towards the ground. Pause and lower back to starting position.
Do not let your elbows flare outward. Be sure to keep upper arms stable throughout movement.
