Swiss Ball EZ-Bar Lying Triceps Extension

This exercise strengthens all three major areas of the triceps muscle. In the lying position, the triceps are isolated to prevent other muscles from assisting with the movement.

    Lie with your upper back on a Swiss ball with feet planted firmly on the ground and hold EZ-Bar with a medium overhand grip. Press the bar directly over head with arms fully extended or have a partner hand it to you.
  2. Swiss Ball EZ-Bar Lying Triceps Extension
    Keeping upper arms stationary, bend your elbows and lower the EZ-Bar towards the ground. Stop just shy of the EZ-Bar touching your forehead. Pause in the bottom position and extend arm back to the starting position by contracting the triceps.

Trainer’s Tips

  • Be sure to keep core stable throughout movement.
  • Do not let your elbows flare outward.
