The Swiss ball I raise helps increase strength and stability in the shoulder. Use of the Swiss ball increases balance and strength throughout the body by actively engaging the core.
Lie face down on a Swiss Ball so your chest is parallel to the ground. Extend your legs all the way out behind you and allow your arms to hang straight down on either side of the ball with your palms facing towards each other. This is your starting position.
Raise your arms up in front of you stopping when they reach shoulder height and are parallel to the ground. Hold and then slowly lower back to the starting position.
Keep core braced throughout movement.
Avoid lowering arms back to starting position too quickly.
