IFBB Bikini Pro Amanda Latona has had a pretty special few weeks. On March 24 she celebrated a birthday, on March 26 she won her third pro bikini contest, the IFBB Musclecontest, and that same week the April 2011 issue of FLEX hit newsstands with Amanda on the cover! To ice the cake, FLEXonline is proud to announce that WEIDER PUBLICATIONS has signed Amanda Latona to join the Weider stable of athletes!
This is Latona’s second contract with Weider. As the winner of the 2009 FLEX Bikini Model Search, Latona was awarded a one year contract to represent the Weider brand. With her striking good looks and infectious personality, Latona one of a kind. FLEX/HERS Editor-in-Chief Allan Donnelly had this to say about the signing: “Aside from being one of the top bikini competitors, Amanda is without a doubt one of the most charismatic personalities in the IFBB Professional League. She appeals to readers of both FLEX and Muscle & Fitness Hers and we are very happy to have her back with Weider Publications.”
And how does Amanda Latona feel about her new gig: “When I won contract in 2009, it was truly a dream come true. Now, being resigned to Weider and given a contract again, not because I won one, but because I was asked to resign, is seriously the biggest prize to me. I have grown to love and respect Weider and everyone there; its truly a family to me. To be asked to be part of an elite team of athletes and represent a brand that I have grown up with is an honor.”
