In the final minutes of UFC 196, Miesha Tate pulled out a tight rear-naked choke to take down Holly Holm. Holm maintained a steady pace throughout the fight, up until the fifth round, when she went unconscious instead of tapping out. The now former bantamweight champ had won the first, third and fourth round, stuffing Tate at every chance she had.

Tate is a former Strikeforce champion who has played a vital role in building up women’s fighting. When she lost to Rousey for the second time at UFC 168, Tate was first told that she would have a title shot after beating Jessica Eye, but it was Holm who beat Rousey at UFC 193.
