Amy Jackson has seen incredible success in Indian films—like I, Singh is Bling, and Theri—though it’s her recent role on the CW series Supergirl that’s making her a household name.
Her acting career had an unconventional start. After being crowned Miss Teen World 2008 and Miss Liverpool 2010 in her native England, Jackson was invited to audition for an Indian film by Bollywood movie director A. L. Vijay, according to IMDb. Jackson snagged the leading role in Madharasapattinam, despite having no prior acting experience.
