One of the biggest video games of the year just came out this week: Star Wars: Battlefront II. It’s the much-anticipated sequel to Electronic Arts’ 2015 title, improving upon the original by adding considerably more content such as maps, space battles, and heroes from all three trilogies.

The biggest change with Battlefront II is its brand-new single player campaign. In the story, players assume the role of Iden Versio, leader of Inferno Squad (the Empire’s equivalent of Black Ops). When the Rebels succeed in destroying the second Death Star at the end of Return of the Jedi, Versio is tasked with bringing the Empire back to its former glory, bridging the gap between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens.

To bring Versio to life, EA brought in actress Janina Gavankar, who both voices Versio and is the source for her in-game face and character model thanks to motion-capture. For Gavankar, a lifelong fan of both Star Wars and videogames, this is a dream come true: “I’m literally washing a Stormtrooper mug right now that I’ve had since before I was part of this project,” she told the Hollywood Reporter. “So, as you could imagine, I am thrilled.”

To celebrate her leading role in Battlefront II, we’ve rounded up some of Gavankar’s best photos.
