Svend Steensgaard has a thing or two to show younger generations of lifters who think they’re something special. The 91-year-old is the oldest powerlifter in the history of the International Powerlifting Federation, a feat of its own and one that warrants a ton of respect. But in preparation for the Danish Masters powerlifting competition this year, he executes a move worthy of even more.

In the video below, Steensgaard deadlifts an impressive 286 pounds (that’s 130 kg for you metric system folks) to the cheers of the room. Most of us will be lucky to obtain his longevity, much less his ability to pull off such an amazing display of strength — but hey, it’s definitely something to aspire to.
