Rising star, Paige VanZant is not intimidated by former UFC women’s batamweight champion, Ronda Rousey.

The 22-year old UFC strawweight fighter recently told TMZ she’d be up to fight Rousey, if it was held at a catchweight. According to TMZ Sports, she would only fight if they met in the middle between her 115 pounds and Rousey’s 135 pounds.

“Hey, if she wants to meet me at 125 [She’d have to cut down a little bit], and I’d have to go up,” VanZant said. “Yeah, I would consider going up to 125, it’s not that big of a weight gain for me.”

Previously Rousey has competed as high as 155 pounds, so it is unclear if she will be able to get anywhere near the 125 pounds that VanZant calls for. But before any plans can be made, Rousey and VanZant have their own business to handle.

VanZant will face Michelle Waterson as the co-headliner in Saturday’s UFC Fight Night in Sacramento. As for Rousey, she is working towards regaining her title from Amanda Nunes in the UFC 207 headliner on Dec. 30 in Las Vegas.

Nevertheless, VanZant and Rousey would make for a great fight, as both are two of the UFC’s most popular female fighters.
