202 and Pro Figure slated for this weekend
July 30, 2009
The 2009 NPC Dexter Jackson Bodybuilding, Fitness, Figure & Bikini Classic and the 2009 IFBB Jacksonville Pro 202 and Jacksonville Pro Figure are all set to go off on Friday, July 31 through Saturday, August 1 at the Lazzara Performance Hall at the University of North Florida, in Jacksonville, Florida.
The inaugural 2009 IFBB Jacksonville Pro 202 will see three athletes make their pro debuts: Peter Putnam and Stan McQuay, both Nationals light heavyweight winners, 2008 and 2006, respectively, and Daryl Gee – just four days after winning the middleweight class and one of three pro cards awarded at the NPC USA’s. Steve Namat, Charles Dixon and Richard “Tricky” Jackson are also scheduled to compete.
Plus, top IFBB Pro League figure competitors will take the stage at the 2009 IFBB Jacksonville Pro Figure Championships. Jessica Paxon-Putnam returns after her runner-up finish last year to Mary Elizabeth-Lado. Erin Stern, who finished fifth at the 2009 Europa Show of Champions and 2006-07 Figure Olympia winner, Jenny Lynn, are scheduled to compete as well.
Also, be sure to catch Florida’s best amateur athletes at the third annual NPC Dexter Jackson Bodybuilding, Fitness, Figure & Bikini Championships, Saturday, August 1st.
Finally, there’s an all-star lineup of guest posers as eight-time Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman, former two-time Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler, Mr. O in waiting Phil Heath and reigning Mr. O Dexter Jackson all take the stage for an Olympia posedown preview. See Cutler, Heath and Jackson just two months out from their slugfest at the 2009 Mr. Olympia, September 24-25, in Las Vegas, Nevada. It’s gonna be hot!
