IFBB Pro Shawn Rhoden has successfully completed his hernia surgery and is recovery right now.

Rhoden will be recuperating for a short period of time and plans on making his return to the stage at the Europa Dallas.  Rhoden told Flex Magazine that he has had the hernia for several years and felt it was time to get the hernia fixed.

"The original plan was to have the surgery at the beginning of 2012, but I could not pass up the chance of a lifetime to compete in my first FLEX Pro and Arnold Classic."  Rhoden was quoted by saying, "The hernia was very noticeable and I wanted to get it taken care of sooner than later, but it made total sense to only do so when the time off wouldn’t interfere with anything."

"It seemed to be the buzz of the forums when it was show time and it wasn’t getting any better, so I had the procedure done on March 30. Doing it then will give me enough time to recover and be back at 100 percent for my Europa prep."

Flex Magazine wishes Rhoden a speedy recovery.
