Kevin English has ruled the 202 kingdom for three years running and his trademark fullness and billowing muscle bellies attached to tiny joints has played a large part in his reign. But conditioning is also a huge factor and although he was off from his previous best at this morning’s prejudging, he tightened up enough to retain his crown and go out as the last 202 Showdown winner (the division is increasing the weight limit to 212 pounds following this contest).

Flex Lewis, who weighed in Friday afternoon at 199.4 pounds, displayed a physique that had size, proportion, shape and detailing that made him seem as if he were chiseled from stone. His clean lines are a throwback to the classic physiques of a bygone era and although this loss will be hard to swallow for The Welsh Dragon, Lewis maintained the poise of a champion and it will be interesting to see how far he can take his physique in coming years.

Jose Raymond, big, hard and grainy as can be, finished a close third, with Jaroslav Horvath in fourth, Shaun-Joseph Tavernier in fifth and Jason Arntz in sixth.
