French Milkmaid Braids by Missy Sue:

This braided updo is a lot less complicated than it looks, but we won’t tell if you won’t. This gorgeous style is bound to turn heads in the gym, the office, and anywhere else.

What you need:

- brush or comb
- 6-10 bobby pins
- hairspray

Step-by-step:

  1. Brush or comb your hair.
  2. Part your hair down the right side almost to the crown of your head.
  3. Take a section of hair at the crown, twist it and pin it against your head.
  4. Create a part beneath the pinned section, dividing the hair into two sections.
  5. Start French braiding from your part on the left side, staying close to the edge your hairline, adding new hair until the entire side is incorporated.
  6. Continue braiding to the end and secure it with bobby pins or an elastic
  7. Repeat on the other side of your head and secure with bobby pins.
  8. Pull on the edges of both braids to make them fuller and hide any part lines.
  9. Cross the two braids at the back of the head and bring them up each side.
  10. Lay them one over the other at the top of the head, securing with bobby pins.
  11. Use hairspray to keep the look in place all day.

Boxer braids by Bodmon Zaid:

Step-by-step:

  2. Part your hair down the middle to divide it into two sections.
  3. Tie one section up so it doesn’t get in the way.

  5. Continue to pull new hair into the top and bottom sections of the braid until all of your hair is secure on one side.
  6. Finish off the first braid and secure with a hair tie.
  7. Repeat on the other side.
