Ana Delia De Iturrondo has always been athletic, but it was when she stopped competing in college sports that she began training for a new sport.
De Iturrondo had been hitting it harder than ever at the gym and following competitions in the fitness magazines when she chose to sign up for her first one, naturally coming in within the top 5 in the second place slot. After that she was hooked!
As an athlete, De Iturrondo has looked up Lolo Jones, who she believes is a true example of what it means to give 200%. According to De Iturrondo, when you are an athlete your body will never be at 100% but you always have to give your 200%.
While she is always pushing her body to the limit, it’s her mind that De Iturrondo has the most control over. She has mastered turning the negative ‘I can’t’ into the positive ‘I can’. A mental strength that has undoubtedly gotten her the fitness accolades she deserves.
