Kettlebell Flye

The kettlebell flye is an isolation exercise that increases strength throughout the chest. Performing the exercise with a kettlebell will allow for a more secured position of the weight to reduce strain on the shoulders and wrists.

Instructions

    Grab a pair of kettlebells and lie face up on a flat bench. Lift the dumbbells above your chest with your palms facing each other. Slightly bend your elbows.
  2. Kettlebell Flye
    Slowly lower the dumbbells in an arc down and away from your body. Once the dumbbells are almost in line with your chest, reverse the movement back to the starting position. Squeeze your chest muscles together at the top of the movement.

Trainer’s Tips

  • Make sure you keep a slight bend in the elbows throughout the movement.
  • Do not go too heavy too soon. Ease your way into learning the exercise.
  • Make sure you feel your chest muscles doing most of the work.
