It’s not like we haven’t heard of Phil Heath before. But, coming into this past weekend, The Gift was an unknown commodity on the Olympia stage. Not anymore.

With his third-place finish, Heath not only legitimized himself as one of the top bodybuilders in the world, he announced his presence as one of the early favorites to win the Sandow in 2009. All in all, not a bad Olympia debut for the 28-year-old.

On Friday night, we followed Heath from his room to the Orleans Arena, to get some insight into the moments leading up to his first Olympia.
