There’s big news for the “little” big men of the IFBB Pro League. Remember when all 202ers had to annually re-qualify for the Olympia 202 Showdown? Not anymore. Like their heavier counterparts in the Mr. Olympia competition, 202 competitors who place in the top six at this year’s Showdown will be eligible to battle onstage at Olympia Weekend the following year. Why the change? Evolution, baby.

Since its inception in 2008, the 202 division has blown up. No longer are David Henry or Kevin English shoo-ins for victory. Of course, they’re still viable threats, but a deeper talent roster spearheaded by Jose Raymond, Eduardo Correa, Seth Feroce, Tricky Jackson and Flex Lewis, to name a few, have made earning the title of champion a much more difficult — albeit impressive — task to tackle.
