Donald Trump may not be a fan of Ronda Rousey, but UFC featherweight champ Conor McGregor is definitely in her corner. TMZ recently caught up with McGregor at LAX to get his thoughts on the Rousey-Holm fight as well as the negative comments about her from the current, front running Republican presidential candidate. Shortly after Rousey’s defeat, Trump tweeted that he was glad she lost and that she’s “not a nice person.“
As for the fight, McGregor offered up much respect for both Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm, and confidently stated that the ex-champ will be back. “Defeat is the secret ingredient to success, so true champions can conquer it and come back.”
However, when asked about Trump’s recent criticism of Rousey, McGregor got a little more testy. “I didn’t know Donald Trump was talking trash. It’s easy for someone that’s not in [the Octagon] to comment, but it’s different when you’re in there. The emotions are high so…Donald can shut his big fat mouth!”

McGregor arrived in LAX as he enters the final stages of preparation for his UFC featherweight title unification fight with Jose Aldo in Las Vegas on December 12. The Irish fighter won the interim belt earlier this year when he defeated Chad Mendes by second round TKO. Mendes took the fight on two weeks notice after Aldo pulled out of the fight with McGregor due to injury. McGregor is somewhat of a trash talker, and to say that there is no love lost between him and the legendary Aldo, who has not been defeated in almost a decade, is an understatement. Here is a compilation of every insult McGregor has hurled at Aldo since the announcement of their first fight.
