With Mr. Olympia weekend around the corner, you’d think seven-time Sandow trophy winner Arnold Schwarzenegger would be relaxing and preparing to judge current competitors like Phil Heath and Kai Greene.

Well, no one sent the Muscle & Fitness Executive Editor that memo. Though the weights might not be as heavy as his heyday, the 66-year-old’s mindset of making every second in the gym count hasn’t changed.

M&F contributor Jim “Smitty” Smith shot this footage of Arnold at the gym on September 22, and we can clearly see that he is in the zone as he curls. We can also clearly see that Arnold isn’t dialing this in folks. Those biceps are the real deal, and there is no retouching or cutting-edge camera technology at play here. This is raw and uncut. Not bad for someone eligible for Medicare. Not bad period.

We’re not the only ones who have noticed that Arnold is looking more like a bodybuilder than ever. “The Oak” was at Venice beach on Sept. 20 to launch his Arnold Series of MusclePharm supplements, and one fan tweeted this shot of the Escape Plan star saying:

Muscle & Fitness Editor-in-Chief Shawn Perine also tweeted this cool shot of Arnold signing a copy of the October issue for a fan.

Even though his schedule is still hectic, it’s great to see that Arnold has been able to carve out some more time to get into the gym to pump iron. It’s great to see the real results he is getting, and it’s great to see that he is able to inspire a whole new generation of fans to get off the couch, get into the gym and get active. Check out this tweet from Arnold’s feed. It looks like Arnold’s still inspiring a new generation of fitness fanatics.
