This Sunday evening the comedian will take center stage in the squared circle to host WWE’s SummerSlam at Brooklyn’s sold-out Barclays Center. The four-hour event will air live at 7 p.m. ET/4 PT on the award-winning WWE Network.
No stranger to the drama of WWE, Stewart knows all too well how things can quickly get out of hand when coming face-to-face with a bitter rival. Such was the case earlier this year where the simmering feud between Stewart and current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins came to a boil on Monday Night Raw. After exchanging a few verbal jabs questioning each other’s talents and appearance, things took an ugly turn. Here’s how it all went down.
Along with Jon Stewart, this Sunday’s SummerSlam will feature some big names and dream matchups for WWE fans. A sure to be epic battle between Rollins and U.S. champ John Cena will highlight the evening’s event, and the clash between Brock Lesnar and the Undertaker will have the jam-packed arena rocking. Fans will also get to see Arrow star Stephen Amell showcase his superhero skills in a tag-team match with Adrian Neville vs. Stardust and Wade Barrett.
