The weekly competition featured on The Rock’s new YouTube channel seeks all those who have ever dreamed of becoming a wrestling mega-star. In the new campaign called “Rock the Promo” (rockpromo.com), participants are asked to submit a 45-second promo of the over-the-top character they want to be. The top 32 selections will then be judged by wrestling legends for a chance to go 1 on 1 with no other than Johnson himself.
And who wouldn’t want to square off with The People’s Champion? How will the encounter go? Well, that’s anyone’s guess. Whatever it is though, we’re sure it will all be in good fun, as Johnson is known for being a genuinely nice guy with a great sense of humor. Here he is sharing a cold one (so to speak) with a fellow cast member while on set of Fast and Furious 8.
