Read articleIn recent days, we have heard speculation that women’s bodybuilding is being phased out…but the women of the IFBB are looking to prove that rumor wrong, as 16 muscular beauties get ready to battle it out at the 2013 IFBB Chicago Pro Wings of Strength this weekend. With the event just a day away, we have a full competitor lineup:
Five of this year’s competitors competed at the IFBB Chicago Pro Wings of Strength in 2012, and are coming back this weekend for round two. Leading the pack is Monique Jones who earned the 1st place title last year and then went on to finish 7th in the 2012 Olympia. Can she earn another Olympia qualification in 2013 with two consecutive 1st place finishes in Chicago?
We’ll know in just a few days. Emery Miller notably earned the 5th place spot last year at this competition, and will surely bring her A game, trying to edge out Monique for the win and the resulting Olympia qualification. There are also a few ladies who will be making the 2013 Wings of Strength in Chicago their Pro debut, including Nancy Clark who earned her pro card at the 2012 Canadian Nationals, Anne Gannnon and Sherri Gray who both earned their pro cards at the 2012 Masters Nationals, and Juanita Blaino who rounded out an impressive amateur record by winning the 2012 Nationals Overall title.
Which one of these 16 women will walk away with the title of the 2013 Chicago Pro Wings of Strength Women’s Bodybuilding champion, along with the prestigious 2013 Olympia Qualification? Be sure to check back in with Flexonline.com all weekend long to find out.
