Read articleWe are less than one week away from the 2013 IFBB Dallas Europa Super Show and everyone is anxious to get a look at what is sure to be a great (and very competitive) lineup. This is the very last chance (in the USA) for Open Men’s Bodybuilding competitors to qualify for the 2013 Olympia. It is also the first time that the Men’s Physique and Women’s Physique divisions will be participating in this competition. Figure will be rounding out the lineup as the 4th division of the Super Show.
Last year’s lineup consisted of 24 competitors in Men’s Open Bodybuilding, with Shawn Rhoden, Hidetada Yamagishi, Toney Freeman, Roelly Winklaar, and Edward Nunn taking the top 5 spots, respectively. Alea Suarez, Larissa Reis, and Tatiana Koshman placed top 3, respectively, in a lineup of 21 Figure competitors. This year…well, we’ll just have to wait and see.
The competitor meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday August 15th at 7pm, with pre-judging beginning at 3pm on Friday August 16th, and finals at 3:30pm on Saturday August 17th.
And who can forget about the $33K dollars of prize money on the line!
The Europa competitions and expos, put on by Ed and Betty Pariso along with Scott Templeton, are always a fun experience for competitors and spectators alike, from the opening “act” at finals (where all of the pros take to the stage together, to dance and toss fun items into the crowd), to the famous dessert buffet (competitors only – they’ve earned it!), to the dynamic sports festival with everything from Cheerleading to MMA and all of the top sports and supplement vendors. Bring all of this to the “everything is bigger in Texas” city of Dallas, and you’ve got an event that you definitely don’t want to miss!
