The second annual IFBB/NPC Ft. Lauderdale Cup is in the books and promoters (and IFBB pros) Shannon Dey and Kristen Nagrani have proven that this “all girls” event is here to stay.  The weekend kicked off with a seminar by IFBB Head Judge Sandi Williamson and posing seminars by top IFBB pros in bikini and figure.

Saturday’s main event featured almost 60 IFBB Pro athletes in figure, fitness and bikini as well as over 100 NPC competitors in the same divisions. Despite the November show date, many top ladies still came out and made it a very competitive show.

In IFBB Fitness, defending champion Kizzy Vaines proved that balance is the key. She placed second in both the physique and routine rounds and was able to edge out Nicole Duncan (2nd) and Tina Durkin (3rd). All three ladies are now qualified for the 2011 Fitness Olympia.

The IFBB Figure contest was also won by a defending champion, as Kristal Richardson walked through a tough field and showed everyone in attendance why she was the pre-show favorite. Fan favorite Ava Cowan grabbed second and Candice Keene placed third. All three of these ladies were already qualified for the 2011 Olympia, but so was fourth place finisher Alicia Harris so no new bids were granted.

Last but not least, the IFBB Bikini contest was easily won by third place Olympia finisher Nicole Nagrani. Nagrani displayed the charm she is known for and set the example on how to work the stage. Second went to Justine Munro and third to Nathalie Mur, both earning the chance to take the Olympia stage in 2011.

It was a great event and unique weekend on the IFBB calendar. The top competitors in the IFBB, hundreds of gorgeous ladies, a red carpet entrance, and a great after party make this a show not to miss in 2012.
