Neapolitan Nice Cream

Can’t decide if you want chocolate, vanilla or strawberry ice cream? Make all three! This Neapolitan Nice Cream (it’s called “nice cream” because it’s nicer on your waistline) is a great way to have the delicious flavors of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream for a fraction of the calories. The main ingredient: frozen bananas. It has no added sugar or refined sugar. That makes this ice cream alternative vegan, dairy-free and Paleo.

You'll need
  • 4 frozen bananas
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 3 strawberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder


1. To make the vanilla nice cream: add all of the ingredients to your food processor (or high powered blender). Puree until smooth and creamy.
2. Transfer two thirds of it into a covered container. Put that in the freezer while you work on your next flavor.
3. To make the strawberry nice cream: You'll be left with a third of your nice cream in the container of your food processor or blender. Add the strawberries to it to make your strawberry nice cream.
4. Take your nice cream container out of the freezer and push the vanilla flavor to the side. Add your strawberry next to it.
5. To make the chocolate nice cream: Rinse out your food processor or blender and put half of the remaining vanilla nice cream in. Add your cocoa powder, puree, and you have instant chocolate nice cream!
6. Remove the nice cream container from your freezer, push the other 2 flavors to the side, and fill the gap with your chocolate nice cream. Put in the freezer for about 15 minutes to set.
