Scissor Power Switch

The scissor power switch increases explosive power and strength throughout the entire lower body. The exercise also increases muscular and cardiovascular endurance in addition to improving hip mobility.

    Stand with your feet a lunge length apart with one foot in front of the other. Bend both knees to 90 degrees and descend into a lunge.
  2. Scissor Power Switch
    Jump straight up into the air as high as possible. Switch legs in the air so that you land back down with your opposite foot forward. Land softly, drop back down into a lunge, and repeat.

Trainer’s Tips

  • Keep your weight in your heels and don't rise onto your toes.
  • Keep your chest upright and don't let your upper back round.
  • Do not land in a deep lunge. Land standing up with your knees slightly bent and then lower your body into a lunge.
