In a frank and revealing interview, former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey opened up to Ellen DeGeneres about her devastating loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193 in Melbourne, Australia. Rousey told the chat show host that she was “knocked out on her feet” after one of the first exchanges that left her with a bloody cut and loose teeth. However, it was how she described the immediate aftermath of the fight that revealed how this loss hit her.

“I was in the medical room and I was down in the corner. I was sitting in the corner and and I was like, ‘What am I anymore if I am not this?’ I as literally sitting there thinking about killing myself.”

Rousey went on to say that she then looked up at her boyfriend, fellow UFC fighter Travis Browne and said: “I need to have his babies, I need to stay alive.” An emotional Rousey went on to say that she might not have made it without Browne who was her main pillar of support after the defeat.

The 29-year-old confirmed that she wants to fight Holm again and beat her, to make “everything right.”
