Read articleAlmost live from the 2013 Mr. Olympia pre-judging, IFBB Pro Dennis James breaks down the most competitive line-up in Olympia history. Here is DJ's Rapid Recap:
Branch Warren: His right leg is still a little bit down in size and I've seen him better conditioned, but I think he was better tonight than when he won his last Arnold.
Cedric McMillan: Great shape and symmetry but he was not on. I wish I could see him nail it one time – he has great potential.
Roelly Winklaar : Roelly looks good; great color and he didn't lose his size. He needs to work ok his posing a little more, but he looks much better than in the past.
Evan Centopani: Evan looks a little over-dieted. He’s a little flat in the chest and his legs are down.
Lionel Beyeke: Great shape and proportions. He’s better than he's been, but he can still get better. The sky is the limit for him.
Victor Martinez: Vic looks good and it looks like he put on some serious weight since the NY Pro.
Dennis Wolf: This is the best he's ever been! I hope he can hold it together, cause if he does he's in line for a top spot.
Toney Freeman: I've seen him harder and his legs seem to be down a little bit in size. His shape is still beautiful, but I think he's gonna have a hard time this weekend.
Steve Kuclo: This is a good Olympia debut and he looks better than he did in Dallas. He has a good future ahead of him.
Mamdouh Elssbiay (Big Ramy): Great Olympia debut…I don't want to say anymore.
Johnny Jackson: He looks fuller than last year with an ufnbelievable back. Legs could be a little bigger to match his upper body.
Brandon Curry: Great structure and muscle bellies, but he was better at the Arnold Classic Brazil. He needed to be a little harder and he would be right in the mix.
Baitollah Abbaspour: Great Olympia showing and I think he was the hardest guy so far. Great legs, great muscle bellies but he's really short and that's gonna make it tough.
Dexter Jackson: Great version of Dexter and he was spot on. He seems to never get older. This was a very good Dexter Jackson
Robert Piotrkowicz: He’s coming out of triceps surgery 6 weeks ago and he's on the Olympia stage. I think he looks great for someone who so recently had major surgery
Shawn Rhoden: Unbelievable shape and great conditioning. It looks like he put on a little bit of weight.
Essa Obaid: Even after all the shows he's done, he’s still great conditioning. He looks just as good as he did in Dallas. Kudos to him for holding onto this level of conditioning for so long.
Jay Cutler – Glad to see him back on stage. Jay’s right leg is still way down. His conditioning is good but it's not the old Jay Cutler and he looks a little flat to me.
Kai Greene – He's bigger than last year, but this is not the conditioning that he had when he won the Arnold Classic.
Phil Heath – This is the best Phil ever. He's bigger than last year and better conditioned.
