Shawn Rhoden captured his fourth win of the 2012 Bodybuilding Season, solidifying his place in the top tier of professional bodybuilding. Crowd favorites such as Dennis Wolf, Branch Warren, Dexter Jackson, Toney Freeman and Evan Centopani weren't able to stop Rhoden's meteoric rise this year.
Dennis Wolf, who placed 6th at the 2012 Mr Olympia, took second behind Rhoden followed by Winklaar. Winklaar exacted a sweet victory after placing fourth after Toney Freeman at the 2012 Sheru Classic the prior week. Robert Piotrkowicz never qualified for the 2012 Olympia so he decided to take some time off then compete in the Grand Prix series. The wisdom of his decision showed by placing higher than Freeman.
In the Fitness scene, Oksana Grishina took the top spot from Adela Garcia. Grishina, with her exquisite and classic moves, seems to often be overlooked in fitness contests. However, traveling, guest posing and competing may have taken its toll on Garcia.
The venerable Erin Stern once again dominated Figure, making this her fourth win of the year. Kati Alander looked incredible on stage but it was only good enough for second.
